Following the success of last year’s event, and again as a way of saying thank you to all of our employees, The Decorative Panels Group held the “dp-summer Olympics” on Friday 1^st July.

Following the success of last year’s event, and again as a way of saying thank you to all of our employees, The Decorative Panels Group held the “dp- summer Olympics” on Friday 1^st July.

The theme of the day was inspired by the 2016 Olympics with an array of inflatable team activities, street food from around the world and a medal presentation ceremony.

We welcomed our workforce of over 300 to take part in the Olympic themed events and encouraged light hearted competition amongst colleagues throughout the day. There was a fantastic live performance from specialist event band The Super Group, which wrapped the fun day up in style.

Throughout the day hundreds of raffle tickets were also sold to raise money for The Yorkshire Air Ambulance. The money raised will help the charity continue developing into a sophisticated emergency service, which provides state-of-the-art emergency medical care throughout Yorkshire. The staff were delighted to raise £1070.57 on the day, which we then matched pound for pound to enable a donation of £2141.14 to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

A spokesperson from the company commented: “The day was a brilliant success, giving everyone a well-deserved day away from the office and of course the chance to raise money for an incredible charity”.
