Decorative Panels Lamination has a dedicated production line for the manufacture of full sheet dp-lite hollowcore materials located within our production facility in Elland.

In effect dp-lite is a sandwich board construction that consists of two outer skins and a very strong honeycell cardboard core – the very nature of its construction means that less wood based raw material is used and of course there are significant weight savings, typically a 60% saving when compared with solid substrate material.

Manufactured in a range of sheet sizes and thicknesses dp-lite is available as a raw board material, suitable for painting or natural wood veneering, or as a surfaced material laminated with any of the designs from the dp-decor and
dp-specialist surface portfolios.

Available as a frameless sheet for added versatility and cost savings or with strategically placed longitudinal rails, the product can be cut, edged, drilled, routed and shaped giving endless finished product possibilities.

dp-lite is already established within the furniture industry as a product that adds the chunky look to all styles of furniture but recently it has become more popular within the shopfitting, interiors and exhibition sectors. The incredibly strong construction allied with the lightweight advantage make it the ideal product.

Recent innovation with the use of plywood skins has seen dp-lite being used within the leisure caravan market as an interior board solution, ideally suited due to the lightweight characteristics that this market demands.
