Crystal Doors have recently undertaken a project to produce a bespoke boardroom table for their own office building.

Rochdale based company Crystal Doors, specialises in the manufacture of bespoke vinyl wrapped doors and accessories for KBB retailers, contract furniture and the shop-fitting industry. An existing customer of Decorative Panels Lamination they have previously used the Senoplast gloss acrylic from the dp-specialist range.

Crystal Doors have recently undertaken a project to produce a bespoke boardroom table for their own office building. The impressive table features rectangular panels of Real Stone Veneer from the dp-limitless range. Un-bonded sheets were rebated into the centre of a membrane pressed table top to create these unique feature panels giving the effect of a thick stone slab.

Richard Hagan, Managing Director was extremely pleased with the finished result, commenting; “The real stone veneer has a clear weight saving advantage in comparison to a traditional stone slab. When we first ordered the stone I did have my reservations as to how easy it would be to process and thought we may have a problem with chipping but we found it processed with ease using our existing machinery to process all of the stone sheets.”

The stone design used is called Seoul and is one of seven finishes available within the Real Stone Veneer Collection. The innovative product is available from Decorative Panels Lamination, made from a thin layer of stone and has a resin reverse that is available bonded with a high performance PUR adhesive to MDF or dp-lite Hollowcore, in a sheet size up to 2440 x 1220mm.

As with all natural products each sheet is unique and will display many different aspects of the stone structure. The surface is pre-sealed meaning no further surface protection is needed. A cost effective, lightweight and innovative solution that replaces the need for a solid stone product.
